Now this Gnome is something special and not someone you would easily overlook. He is pretty big, with a height of 22cm // 8.66". It is very rare to find ceramic / terracotta gnomes from Germany, in this size. Because he is also in excellent condition, he is definitely a real collectors piece, From around the 70-80s, hand painted in Germany....Probably by Gräfenroda.

I am not sure which German manufacturer made this beauty, perhaps Heissner. Although made in Germany, these types of gnomes are often found in Scandinavia - this piece in Denmark. It is probably because of the Scandinavian Christmas tradition, which gnomes play an essential part of, both in terms of decoration and storytelling - hence many gnomes must have been sold to the Scandinavian market.
